Sue Emrys-Jones founded the Marksbury Kennel back in the early 1970's with Basset hounds and shortly after with Standard Wirehaired Dachshunds.
In 1979 a red wire bitch became the first Marksbury champion. Ch Marksbury Featherlight.
In 1985 she bought in her first Bloodhound from one of the top kennels , Abingerwood Wild Garland who became the first Bloodhound champion for the Marksbury Kennel.
This year, 2007 ,saw the 17th champion produced from this kennel with upwards of 120 challenge Certificates being won.
Sue also writes the breed notes for Dog World Magazine, serves on the Association of Bloodhound Breeders Committee and helps co-ordinate Bloodhound Rescue.
