Sue Emrys-Jones founded the Marksbury Kennel back in the early 1970's with Basset hounds and shortly after with Standard Wirehaired Dachshunds.
In 1979 a red wire bitch became the first Marksbury champion. Ch Marksbury Featherlight.
In 1985 she bought in her first Bloodhound from one of the top kennels , Abingerwood Wild Garland who became the first Bloodhound champion for the Marksbury Kennel.
By 2010 Marksbury Kennel had owned and or bred 25 Champions home and abroad and upwards of 130 Challenge Certificates.
A highlight being Ch. Marksbury Wistful winning the Hound Group at Crufts 2007.

- is on the Association of Bloodhound Breeders Committee
